Jacksonville, Florida Newborn Photographer – NAPCP Master Photographer

I have some exciting news… I am proud to announce that I have just been certified as a Master Newborn Photographer!

This certification is awarded once a year to only a handful of NAPCP (the National Association of Professional Child Photographers) members who “demonstrate their excellence in the craft of professional newborn photography.” To earn this prestigious certification I had to first submit a portfolio of 25 images with a very specific criteria: 15 portraits of baby alone, 5 photos of baby with at least one parent, 3 portraits of baby with a sibling, and 2 additional newborn images. The portfolio needed to demonstrate a consistent style, but needed to showcase diverse poses, subjects, and overall feel. Choosing 25 images with completely different subjects and posing was a bit trickier than you might think, but I am so proud of the portfolio I put together!

My gallery of images was evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges and in order to pass the critique I needed to score an exemplary rating. This means that each image had to be not only beautiful, but also have a strong emotional impact and no technical errors.

In addition to the portfolio critique, I also had to pass a Newborn Safety Course with flying colors… zero incorrect responses were permitted, which is such an important distinction of this certification.

So, what does this all mean for you? Well, this means peace of mind. This means that when you choose to book me as your newborn photographer, you can be confident that I know how to pose and photograph your baby safely; that your precious little one’s well being will and always has been my top priority! This means that I have the experience and expertise to deliver a beautiful gallery of images that will be consistent with the work you find on my website. This means that when you choose me as your photographer, you are choosing someone who has been recognized by industry leaders as a master in the craft of newborn photography.
