“Let them run. Let them play.
10 years down the line, you’ll want to remember them in these moments—just as they are.”
As your family grows from pregnancy to preschool and beyond, I’m honored to photograph your
growing family, turning your special moments into timeless works of art.
When you contact me, I’ll schedule a Discovery Call where we’ll go through your vision for your Family photo shoot. We’ll discuss the overall look and feel you desire, what kinds of images you want, and what artwork you may want in your home. This call gives us the opportunity to make sure working together is a good fit.
Our first meeting will be your design consultation where we’ll go through every detail of your Family Portrait Experience. We’ll discuss location, styling, shots that are important to you, and goals for your images. This helps me tailor the experience uniquely to your family. Outfit planning is often one of the trickiest parts about preparing for a portrait session. I am always available to help with clothing choices and coordination! A few days before your photo shoot, you’ll receive a session guide to help you best prepare for a successful session.
We’re going to have a great time! My sessions feature a mix of posed and candid photos, with a focus on making sure the children are comfortable. While you and your family have a genuine, fun, memorable experience, I will focus on the details, making sure we get many beautiful images to preserve this period in your lives.
The most beautiful moments in childhood are the candid moments you never planned. Even if your child is reluctant or needs a break during your session, I always capture something special. In the moment, you may be frustrated that your toddler won’t let you put them down, or refuses to give up their toy. But years from now, when you’re looking at prints on your wall, you’ll remember these moments fondly. The days of holding mom’s hand or clinging to a lovey—those are the moments you’ll never want to forget.
About 1-2 weeks after your session, we will meet again for your viewing and ordering appointment. This is when you’ll see how absolutely beautiful your family is from behind my lens. I will have gone through all your images and pulled only the very best ones for soft-proof editing, adjusting cropping and lighting. I’ll show you these edited images in a slideshow and guide you through selecting your favorite images for full editing.
Once we’ve narrowed down your edited images to your favorites, we’ll discuss how you want to display your portraits. I offer computer simulations of your walls to custom-design gallery walls, and stunning heirloom albums, among many other pieces of art to choose from. We’ll discuss any additional edits, and you’ll receive a proof prior to printing. As you wait for your printed artwork, you’ll receive a matching digital file for any portrait you’ve ordered so you can show off your lovely family.

“As a family, we felt it was important to start documenting every year as a family with professional pictures. What better way to do this than on our yearly summer vacation in St. Augustine! Erin came highly recommended in one of my professional FB groups. From the start, she was very responsive and communicated well. For weeks, she got to personally know me and my family during conversions and via questionnaires to prepare for the shoot. She was even involved in outfit decisions in order to help us get the best shots! She helped us feel very comfortable and excited during the whole process (not an easy task with 2 boys). The outcome exceeded my expectations tenfold! We have now made this a yearly tradition with Erin the past couple of years while on vacation and will continue to do so. She has been open to location suggestions and listens to my crazy ideas. Her attention to every detail and the pride in her work shows in every picture. So pleased to not only call her our family photographer but also our friend!”
“We love working with Erin because we know we will have fun making family memories that will be beautifully captured. Erin has a warm welcoming personality so whether it’s your 1st or 5th shoot you will feel like you’ve known her forever. Whenever I mention taking a picture, my 4 year old will say, “With Ms. Erin?!” She will play music, dance, laugh, and just create the perfect environment for pictures you will treasure. She puts so much thought into the session before you meet from location to outfits to any poses that are most important for you to capture. I always go into our sessions knowing Erin understands my vision.”
“Erin shot family photos for us and they came out BEAUTIFUL! Erin is so great to work with from start to finish. Not only was she thorough on learning what I was hoping to achieve from my session, but she also helped me with all the little details such as how to dress my family so we looked coordinated. The day of the shoot, she was early to the site and was so patient with my kids at the end of the day when they were getting a bit tired. In the end, the pictures were everything I hoped for and more. I love looking up at them framed in the house.
You can’t go wrong with Erin!”
Luckily, in Florida, there’s a great location for everyone: beach, city, parks, trails and more. Pick a place you and your family enjoy. If your little one fusses over sand in their toes, we’ll avoid the beach. I have a long list of location ideas and I’m happy to scout places that fit your needs.
My favorite time of day to shoot is during golden hour—an hour before sunset. That time is especially best for shooting on the beach where there’s no shade. For a park or wooded trail, morning light can be especially beautiful.
I allot an hour for each family session. We may or may not need that long but we leave plenty of time to follow the lead of your little ones. If they need time to warm up, they have it. If they get tired part way through, we don’t need to push them any further.
Upon booking, I will send you a style guide to help with outfit planning and coordination. I suggest creating a palette of likeness using a color family or pattern for coordination instead of matching. You’re also welcome to send me photos of things you like, and I can help coordinate or develop a color palette for you.
Yes, we definitely can. I do recommend bringing someone with you that can help watch your furbaby when they’re no longer in the photos so we can capture the rest of your images.
Yes, and I love them, especially when we can get grandparents and grandkids together. There is an additional fee for extra family groupings.
That’s ok. I want them to run, play, snuggle and interact throughout the session. We’ll play games and I’ll provide prompts. I’m a mom of three and a former teacher. I’ve got you covered.
In Florida it’s definitely a possibility. On the day of your session I watch the weather closely, and will let you know if we need to make changes. If we need to reschedule, we will. However, if it’s just cloudy, clouds can make for a beautiful backdrop.
